As of April 1, 2015 Dr. Bianca Milan will be appointed as senior eNose expert of Comon Invent. Bianca is an internationally renowned expert in the field of artificial olfaction. With her experience and scientific background she will contribute to the further development of the emerging eNose technology. Over the last years Bianca has been involved in a variety of eNose projects in the Netherlands. Besides that she has played an important role in the creation of the standard for electronic air monitoring NTA 9055:2012.
Bianca Milan studied chemistry at the VU University Amsterdam and in 1996 obtained her PhD in laser spectroscopy at the University of Amsterdam. She started her professional career at Unilever Research, working on ‘nice perfumes’ in detergents. Subsequently, Bianca continued her career in the perfume industry at IFF. Since 2003, Bianca was employed at DCMR Milieudienst Rijnmond (Environmental Protection Agency Rijnmond) as odour and eNose expert. Here she worked with “less pleasant odours” and hazardous gas emissions originating from industrial activities.
